Barbara J. Curie

Dundalk native Barbara J. Curie died Sept. 6 of leukemia at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was 45 and lived in Phoenix.
    {reg}The daughter of the late Edward and Patricia Haas, she was born and raised on Lawrence Road. She was a former member of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church.
    She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in computer science and worked for U.S. Food Services.
    “She was an excellent cook,” a loved one recalled, “and was very fond of her Australian sheperds, Blue and Loki, who she leaves behind.” She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading and flowers.
    Husband Steven Curie and siblings Edward, Michael, Stephen, Ann and Michele survive her.
