Lou Markel

 Services for Lou Markel will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home, 7922 Wise Ave., with interment at Parkwood Cemetery.
    {reg}The lifelong Lodge Forest resident and owner of Markel’s Boat Yard died Nov. 23 at his home at the age of 72.
    He was born and raised on North Point Creek Road. After retiring from the Defense Investigative Service in 1982, he operated the boatyard until his death. He was a licensed captain who enjoyed boating and fishing.
    He served as secretary of the Millers Island-Edgemere Business Association for 10 years.
    Parents Dorothy and Louis F. Markel preceded him in death, along with sister Norma Y. Stachowski, half sisters Minnie A. Hudspeth and E. Gwendolyn Davison and half brother Walter E. Markel.  
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.{/reg}

Daniel Anand

On November 28, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Daniel D. Anand of Ellicott City, MD, beloved son of Deena and Josephine (James) Anand. Daniel is also survived by his sister, Amy T. Anand and a grandfather Patrick James.
